painting walls is more fun for some

When we decided to change our office into a playroom, painting the walls went along with it. I’m lucky enough to have a mom who likes to paint, and a dad who is a lot of help on all home remodeling projects. Of course, now we have a toddler who was very interested in helping too.

Gram helped Cam write his name on the wall too.

Now that he’s a trained household painter, we are hiring him out to you! Please provide a lot of drop cloths.

fun with hats

One of my favorite hats from Cam’s baby years was a green hippo hat. Caiden is now the same age, so we did a photoshoot with him.

Then we decided to play around with his moose hat. Always take advantage of a baby in a good mood.

time in the big tub

Someone I know likes having tubby in the big tub. Lots of splashing going on.

 But he has two new teeth to show off!

He also is into body exploration, and clapping!

household changes

You know that saying “One and done”? Well, we knew that wasn’t true for our family, but “Two and through” certainly was. Chris and I were not willing to be outnumbered. Knowing that, we decided to move things around a bit in our home. For one thing, we needed a place to stash the crazy amount of toys we acquired along with the two kiddos. Perfect place for that was our old office. So the computer traveled up to our bedroom, and we made the room more kid-friendly. We decided to go gray on the walls, and let their artwork be the color pop in the room.

Cam appreciates the big open space, and uses it as his hockey rink. Plenty of room for the zamboni to move around.

 It was also (long overdue) time to move Caiden out of our room and into the other upstairs bedroom with Cam. We were a little nervous as to how it would go, but Cam was excited to share his room with his buddy. I have to say, things have gone amazingly well. Even with Caiden having an ear infection and not sleeping wonderfully immediately after moving in.

Just another small change that comes along with having two boys.

hats off to chinese new year!

The boys learn/celebrate a different theme every week at daycare. The teachers have different toys, decorations and projects to go along with the theme. Caiden recently learned about Chinese New Year. He really enjoyed the hats they played with that week!

That’s a benefit of wearing a helmet…hats are pretty cool!
