commuting can be fun

I’ve never been a fan of commuting. I only managed our short stay in St. Charles because Chris and I both worked at the same place and he would do the driving. Moving to the city allows us to live six miles from work – about how much I can tolerate. But there are days where the boys make it a joy and I don’t want the car ride to end.

Sometimes it’s a great time to talk to Cam, since it isn’t often he sits still long enough for a conversation. Today he asked Chris about who was left in the playoffs. After hearing the Bruins and Penguins would face each other in the next round, he shouted, “Oh no! Who are we going to root for?!” He decided on the Bruins, and then proceeded to give Chris a play-by-play of the first game. The Bruins came back to win it 2-1 in overtime after the Penguins got a penalty for a big scrum. Chris doesn’t know what was better – him talking about the goalie saves or the big “He shoots, he scores!!!” in the overtime.

We both treasure those moments.

cruising for two

Remember laundry cruising? Well lucky for Chris, two boys now enjoy the fun.

Double the fun, triple the weight!

One more blink and he'll be one.

put one foot in front of the other

Caid is working hard on being upright.

He has already gotten better at walking since this taping. He loves to push his toy around in a circle while Cam plays hockey around him. We’re wondering if this means he’ll be walking before
he turns one.

In other news, our home has been under attack from vicious viruses. I have several friends who warned me that two kids in daycare is a game-changer, and they weren’t kidding. Chris and I have both juggled a lot of sick days lately along with help from my parents. Hopefully we can kick it soon as the weather heats up, and we can get back to our “normal” life!
